ANDREW GILMAN TO CONDUCT MEDIA TRAINING SEMINAR AND CRISIS COMMUNICATIONS KEYNOTE SPEECH FOR PR PROFESSIONALS IN NEW YORK AND WASHINGTON DC

The principals of specialty communications firm CommCore will provide public relations professionals in New York and Washington DC with best practices for dealing with the media, and how social media impacts crisis communications. The respective programs are being sponsored by Public Relations industry publication PR News and the National Capital Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA-NCC).

The PR News-sponsored seminar features speakers CommCore CEO and President Andy Gilman and Executive Vice President and Principal Jerry Doyle. They will provide attendees with media relations tips, and guidance on how to prepare executives for presentations and interviews on different media platforms and in a range of settings. The seminar will be held September 10, 2013 from 8:30 am. to 10:30 a.m. at the Grand Hyatt in New York City.

The National Capital Chapter PRSA event, to be held at the Navy Memorial in Washington, DC, will feature a keynote speech by Mr. Gilman and CommCore Senior Consultant Roger Conner, on Social Media’s Impact on Crisis Communications. Mr. Conner is the former Vice President of Communications for Marriott International. This interactive workshop will examine how prior crisis responses were handled and the lessons learned.The program runs from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on September 17, 2013.
