CommCore Consulting Group was among nine exhibitors featured at an event organized by the Small Business Government Communicators Network, and focused on the energy and transportation sectors. The keynote speaker was National Traffic Highway Safety Administration (NHTSA) Director of Consumer Information Susan McMeen.
”Networking events such as this are useful for meeting contractors and potential teaming partners, and for hearing directly from federal decision-makers about their communications strategy and priorities,” said CommCore Vice President Amy Doman who attended the program with Senior Vice President Nick Peters. ”We were interested because of our experience working with the National Safety Transporation Board, U.S. Department of Energy, AMTRAK, and the Insurance Insititute for Highway Safety,” Doman added.
Though TV is still ”the big dog,” McMeen told the gathering her agency is increasingly turning to social media to promote transportation safety policies and programs. She cited Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram as her agency’s main social media channels.
